Life Away From Gilbert

When I’m out of the office, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I’m also a big fan of the Sacramento brewery scene and enjoy visiting new locations that I haven’t seen, which aren’t difficult to find in the Sacramento area. I love playing all kinds of games as well, from video games to board games and card games. Most breweries keep some various games stocked as well, which is another fun thing to do there!

How do you prefer to start your day?

First thing is to let my dog outside! Then I always start my coffee going, so it’s ready by the time I finish getting my dog breakfast.

First job?

I worked a seasonal job at Gamestop when I was in high school. I loved video games, so I had wanted to work there for a while!

Weirdest thing you’ve eaten on vacation?

I had takoyaki (fried balls of octopus) in Japan. It’s not uncommon to find over there. The texture is very strange, but now it’s one of my favorite snacks/appetizers if a restaurant serves it.
