Senior Manager

Austin serves as one of the senior tax managers and part of the tax leadership team here at Gilbert. He focuses on providing a high level of service to our clients and assists in helping each of them maintain compliance within an ever-changing regulatory environment.

Austin received his bachelor’s degree in business management from UC Santa Cruz and is a licensed CPA.

Life Away From Gilbert

In my time outside of the office, I’m focused mostly on my family. I have a one-year-old son, and I try to spend as much time with him as I can! My wife and I love to travel and eat our way through new places and give our little man exposure to a lot of new experiences.

What is something you love doing? Why?

I love snowboarding. I lived in Tahoe for a few years and really enjoyed the dichotomy between the peacefulness of the outdoors and the act of careening down a mountain on a piece of wood.

What is a hidden talent you have?

I’m an exceptional foosball player. I had a table at my house growing up and can hold my own against professional players.

Are you a morning person or a night person? Why?

I am definitely a night person who wakes up early, not by choice. I get up and start my day when my kid wakes up, but I wouldn’t consider myself a morning person. I still need time to adjust and get going in the morning.
