The IRS has announced that beginning January 1, 2022, it will close several individual payment P.O. Boxes in the San Francisco, California, and Hartford, Connecticut, areas. These P.O. Boxes are also called lockbox addresses. Payments mailed to these closed locations after January 1, 2022, will be returned to the sender.
Some taxpayers have 4th quarter estimated taxes due January 15, 2022, after the IRS closure. If you previously received preprinted mailing labels from our office with the San Francisco address, please instead send the existing payment voucher with payment to this new address:
