SACRAMENTO (November 8, 2019) – The Sacramento Business Journal (SBJ) announced the recognition of the Sacramento Area Corporate Philanthropy – Direct giving. The Sacramento Business Journal identified each candidate by their 2018 cash contributions to local charitable organizations.
This recognition comes as Gilbert celebrated its 13th Annual Community Service Day, a tradition that has become one of Team Gilbert’s favorite days of the year. Employees were able to volunteer at Effie Yeaw Nature Center, Loaves and Fishes, Powerhouse Science Center, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, and St. John’s Program for Real Change.
“By giving back as an organization, we are strengthened and unified in a way that is supernatural,” said David Ljung, CEO. “It feels great knowing that our efforts, weather volunteering, or serving on boards, allows others to know that their community has their back.”
The Sacramento Business Journal has recognized local philanthropic achievements for over 19 years. To view the complete 2019 recognition list, click here.
