Gilbert Unplugs Calculators for 8th Annual Community Service Day

Donning our accountant’s green visors and armed with paintbrushes, ladders and an assortment of gardening tools, on July 15 the staff of Gilbert fanned out to 4 different Sacramento non-profits to observe our 8th Annual Community Service Day.

This year’s recipients included Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento, Lilliput Children’s Services, Sacramento Food Bankand Volunteers of America / HomeAid.

Activities include everything from painting and minor construction to food distribution, and window washing to landscaping.

Gilbert has conducted our Annual Community Service Day since 2006. As in years past, the office was closed for the day (Zero beans were counted.)

“We’ve been doing this Community Service Day annually for the past several years, and we feel our success enables us to give back to the community that has graciously allowed us to partner with them,” says Thomas Gilbert, Managing Shareholder. “We’ve also found it’s a great way to engage our employees and have fun together out of the office.”
