When I am not auditing, I enjoy activities such as exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants, and playing board games with friends and family. I also am fascinated by other cultures, thus enjoy traveling and am looking to learn new languages. Last but not least, I am an avid binge-watcher. My favorites include Mind Hunter, GLOW, Midsomer Murders, and ANTM.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Packing lunch. I am a sucker for a good food spot, but I want to nurture my cooking abilities as well.

A work-related accomplishment that made you proud?
When working on my first solo client, the client told me that they were grateful to have me as their auditor and that they would be requesting me for future audits.

The biggest misconception about your work as a CPA?
Most people believe I am great with numbers. While some CPAs have math degrees, a majority of the work is policy and regulations based. There is also a lot of analysis that may use numbers but requires an understanding of accounting and finance concepts to interpret and analyze.
