Do you love public accounting and want to join a team that will encourage your professional growth and afford you the opportunity to work with a diverse client base? Would you appreciate being a part of a firm that truly values your efforts and contributions? Supportive, motivating, inclusive and approachable leadership are more than words to us, at Gilbert, they are our foundation. Gilbert has all the resources and advantages of a big firm, but our size allows our team members to have more control of their professional growth and mobility. At Gilbert, we don’t hire bodies; we hire professionals that will enrich our culture and long-term success.
We place a high priority on fostering professional development and nurturing our mentor programs. We regularly facilitate educational workshops and seminars that help our team expand their technical skills and achieve their career aspirations.
Our firm leaders are able to maximize the experiences of our team by fostering one-on-one relationships with staff at all levels of the firm. From the first day at Gilbert, staff members have access to firm leaders by way of an open-door policy. Shareholders and managers make themselves available for any type of communication, as we realize our most important asset is our people.
If you‘ve never experienced the CEO of your company engaging you in a water-gun fight on a Friday afternoon, then you have never worked for a firm like Gilbert. While we work hard and adhere to the highest standards of client service, we also like to have fun and enjoy our day-to-day interactions with our fellow team members. We pride ourselves on our culture of caring and we strive each and every day to ensure our team members are professionally challenged and fulfilled.
Giving Back to Our Community
We believe in being good citizens both inside and outside the office. We organize and participate in charity events and volunteer our time to local causes with the goal of making Sacramento and surrounding areas a better place to live and do business for everyone.
Our team is involved in more than 50 community organizations as backers, members and directors. Annually, we plan an office-wide community service day when we close our office for the day and enthusiastically roll up our sleeves and tackle various projects at several local nonprofits. We want our employees to lead a full life both in and out of the office, and we believe that community service is vital to that goal.
We are honored to be ranked as the top accounting firm on the Corporate Philanthropy – Direct Giving list in the Sacramento Business Journal year after year.
